Frequent floating: The Benefits of Making Float Therapy a Regular Practice

I considered myself an experienced floater. I'd floated many times before and felt amazing benefits after every session, especially when it came to stress relief and escaping sensory overload.


I WAS SO WRONG!


Only now, because I'm lucky enough to float every week at Blissful Float Spa, am I starting to experience the full power of float therapy. Frequent floating has opened the gate to entirely new experiences. Now I truly understand what people mean when they say the benefits of floating are cumulative.


When I float regularly, each session feels like I'm entering a completely new level of relaxation that I didn't even know existed.


During my last float, I unlocked another level again.


Usually, I like to change positions while I'm floating. This time, I didn't make a single move. Once I got into the float tank, I dropped into such a deep state of relaxation almost immediately that I felt far too comfortable to move any part of my body for the entire session. I would never be able to stay that still for so long under any other circumstances 😄


What was happening in my head was even more interesting. 🤯


My mind became incredibly quiet, yet I felt more aware than ever. Time seemed to disappear, and I drifted into a state that was difficult to describe. It wasn't sleep, meditation, or daydreaming—it felt like something completely different.


I think I'm starting to get close to the kind of psychedelic-like experiences that Joe Rogan often talks about when discussing floatation therapy 😆 Not because I was hallucinating, but because floating can create such a unique state of consciousness when your body and mind are completely free from distractions.


The more often I float, the easier it becomes to reach these deeper states of relaxation, mental clarity, and mindfulness. That's why I believe regular float therapy is where the real magic happens. A single float session can be incredible, but floating consistently allows each experience to build on the last.


I honestly can't wait for my next float to see what level I'll unlock next 😊
